This kid got some pretty loud cheers as he marched by. Go Raiders!

Fair Day
The kids had school off for Fair Day, so of course, we headed...to the Zoo!
We hadn't gone on the trail to see the gorillas for a while, so we did that first.

This picture cracks me up:
We saw a demonstration of the jumping abilities of the serval cat (video posted earlier).
Tessa wanted to make sure we got this picture of macaws for Ben
The weather was so beautiful. We ran into a couple other families from our ward and hung out at the children's zoo together for a while. Scott was helpful, the girls got along, and it was overall a great day (though we missed Ben!!).
Half-time Show
Ben went to almost all of Scott's home football games, with various members of our family in tow, and one night it was my turn! :) (I was actually waiting until they performed the whole show. They had been adding parts all season as they learned it.) I went to the "cross town showdown," with the two high schools in our city playing against each other, so it was so crowded...but still fun.
Here are a couple pictures from the show. He is the middle bass drummer, so when you see the five of them, look for him in the middle.

For all of my non-experience in watching bands perform, I thought they were great (but I thought that from the first time I heard them play before school started). Scott loved being part of it all. They had a busy competition season, and came in 6th place in the area finals, so now marching is done and they focus on concert season.
Oh--we won the football game...by a lot.
Valkyries
Emma is the only one to play soccer this season, because I realized I don't like going crazy, so the girls can now choose to play either spring or fall soccer, and not all three of them at once. (It was so much better for our family [me] this way!)
Emma's original team, though, disbanded, so she was assigned to another team--the Valkyries. They had won first place the previous season, and for (long explanation) reasons, they got moved up an age bracket for this season. And for (more long explanation) reasons, they lost several players, and got several fresh ones... and Emma. So, let's just sum up: there were major celebrations that occurred with the two points they scored the entire season. And (most importantly), Emma had a great time.
I took a couple pictures to show the size difference of Emma and the girls she was defending:
This game had some crazy cloud formations--they were drooping down in waves, and it was like looking up from the bottom of the ocean. The picture doesn't show it well, but it was fun to watch.
Another season done.

Grandma D gave us some kites a while back, and we had a gorgeous day to fly them. (Three girls went at once, so we ended up with a massive tangle of string at the end, but it was fun!)

Why do we take pictures everywhere we go these days? Everything must be documented!

Benson likes the white board. This is his first self-initiated person drawing.
